Nishiyodogawa Parks and the Cherry Blossom Areas (Part I)

This year’s cherry trees bloomed earlier than average, and we have a long spell of sunny days.
Last year, we have guided you Ohno River promenade (Ryokuin Road) for cherry sites. This year, we will show you around many parks that are beautiful as cherry sites besides Ryokuin Road.
There are lots of parks around Nishiyodogawa Ward considering it’s an industrial area. In total, there are twenty five parks, and this time we are going to focus on thirteen of them on the northeastern area.
Examples are Takeshima, Tsukuda, Chibune, Utajima,Nozato, Kashiwazato, and Northern Ohwada.

#1 Takeshima South Park

It’s a very narrow park, but the hundred meter line of cherry trees are beautiful here.

#2 Utajima Park

These are the trees surrounding the multipurpose playing area.

#3 Mitejima East Park

There is a cherry tree on the east side of the park.

There are lots of cherry trees here, and this park is established on top of a levee.

#7 Tsukuda Park

#8 Chibune Park

The cherry trees surround the circumference of the park, so this park is the best to be surrounded by the trees. Pedestrians pass by here too as the park faces the sidewalk.

It’s a verry small park, but there are two beautiful cherry trees here.

#13 Nishiyodo Park

This park is huge because it is adjoining to the promenade. This is a place where you can enjoy watching the cherry trees wihtout worrying about the passers-by or cars passing through.
